Stone Brewing Cali-Belgique IPA
WWED Grade: B+

Appearance: Clear.
Golden copper. Little head that died fast.
Smell: Stroooooong.
Bitter hoppiness. Orange spice?
Taste: Good.
Very good. Dry bitterness comes on just before the end of the last drink.
Definitely has an IPA hopped up bitterness to it.
Drinkability: Medium-light carbonation. (Drink it cold though – doesn’t strike me as a
good beer if it were warmer.)
ABV: 6.9%
Serving Type: Bottle poured in goblet.
This beer was done very
well. Creative too. As the name suggests “Belgique”. The brewers at Stone
crafted an American style IPA using Blegian yeasts. What’s this mean to the
drinker? A bit of a sweeter note at the end. Just after some face melting hops
– you get a nice pillow of sugary yeastiness. Yes – give it a try. If for
nothing else, buy it because you can! While you can! And for the lesson on beer
they wrote on the back of the bottle ;-)
