Double Dragon – Felinfoel Brewing (The National Ale of Wales)
WWED Grade: B

Appearance: Very thick and creamy head that stayed pretty well. Clear. Deep copper color. Almost red.
Smell: Bitter sweet. With a deep breath it gets musky – pilsner like musk.
Taste: Wow – very drinkable beer. Honey! Apricots? Maybe an apple like fruitiness? Ever so slightly bitter – not very hoppy, but there’s definitely some in there.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. Great carbonation – medium.
ABV: 4.2%
Serving Type: 16.9 oz bottle – poured into glass
Mmm…mmm…MMM! This was a great beer. National Ale of Wales, eh? Not bad. I wonder how common it actually is over there. I would have liked a little higher alcohol content – but I suppose the low percentage helps to make it more sessionable. I wasn’t expecting the honey and fruit flavors – though it was nice. Very easy to drink. I’d love to see this on draft! It’d pair well with light meats and fishes. Or just knock a few back on your own with some friends – if you can find it! Thanks Jess ;-)
