Dogfish Aprihop
WWED Grade: B+

Appearance: Clear.
Hazel/burnt orange in color. Little head that died fast.
Smell: Definitely
some hops and fruit in there (as the name suggests).
Taste: Wow
– well done. Yeah – a subtle apricot taste, on top of some serious hops. As I
drank on – the apricots were even more profound, but not overwhelming.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. The carbonation is crisp. Not a beer you’d be able to
chug – but why would you do that anyways?
ABV: 7%
Serving Type: Bottle poured in goblet.
Dogfish – you gone and done
it again! Produced a delicious seasonal here. The Apricots are a bit stronger
than the IPA – more sweetness than bitterness. Not Jolly Rancher sweet – I’m
getting the back notes of an apricot. Not necessarily a beer I’d look for year
round (nor a beer they’ll be brewing year round) – but I’ll definitely put a
case or two through my fridge, to share/enlighten my friends. Not sure I’d pair
it with a meal – but could go well with apricots or chocolate. I enjoyed it on
it’s own after dinner. Drink it. Enjooooooooy……
