more bitter than a typical Abbey.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. Great with most foods.

Serving Type: Bottle poured in glass.
Darker than most Abbey’s I’m
used to. Slightly more bitter too. Great presentation. I definitely enjoyed
this beer – and most that try it likely will. But I’m trying to take the beer
out of the bottle here. Had this drink been served in a more humble
bottle/presentation – would I be so impressed? Not likely. I like that $2 from
every bottle goes to the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. So…buy it for that if nothing else.
But taking the drink out of the bottle? Not the best, not the worst – but not
the best Abbey I’ve had.
